Project Overview:
Cinematic Waterfall is a real time environment project built in Unreal Engine, focused on creating a highly atmospheric natural scene centered around a forest waterfall. The goal of the project was to explore cinematic lighting, post processing, and environmental storytelling to produce an immersive visual experience. The scene emphasizes realism, mood, and natural beauty through detailed vegetation, water interaction, and layered environmental composition.
Project Overview:
Cinematic Waterfall is a real time environment project built in Unreal Engine, focused on creating a highly atmospheric natural scene centered around a forest waterfall. The goal of the project was to explore cinematic lighting, post processing, and environmental storytelling to produce an immersive visual experience. The scene emphasizes realism, mood, and natural beauty through detailed vegetation, water interaction, and layered environmental composition.






Contribution:
Responsible for the full environment setup and visual direction of the scene. Built and composed the forest environment around the waterfall, focusing on natural terrain layout, asset placement, and environmental depth. Designed and implemented lighting to enhance realism and cinematic quality, including sun direction, bounce lighting, and shadow behavior across foliage and terrain.
Developed and refined post processing effects to strengthen mood and visual cohesion, including color grading, contrast balancing, and atmospheric depth. Focused heavily on guiding player or camera perspective through composition, ensuring visual flow from forest canopy down to the waterfall focal point. Optimized scene performance while maintaining high visual fidelity within Unreal Engine.
